Lots To Talk About

The last two months have been filled to the brim for Jim and Abigail and I. We have been so busy. I will try to catch you all up as well as possible while also outlining our plans for the 2010 golf season. The holidays were wonderful for us all. We enjoyed some great get-togethers with both family and friends. Thanksgiving was held at Mom and Dad's - we had fifteen people for dinner, really busy and fun! At the beginning of December we took Abby on her first road trip to visit Jim's family in Cincinnati. Everything worked out great and we enjoyed some nice time with our Cincinnati crew.
We were also blessed with a beautiful snow storm. Christmas was also busy bringing visits with so many loved ones. We had a small dinner at home with my sister Lisa and Dana and Paige. Jim and my mom strayed from the traditional Christmas dinner and prepared a lovely Prime Rib roast. It was one of the best pieces of meat I have ever had. Our celebration was short and sweet as we packed up to leave for Florida the very next day.
Here we are now, back in Florida. We have had a couple weeks of strange weather for these parts with temperatures below freezing several nights in a row. Everything seems to be back to normal now, with warmer weather and an occasional rainy day.
We had a loss in our little family just before our trip to Florida. Our bun bun has gone to bunny heaven. She had been battling a cold since our trip north to PA last spring. When bunnies get cold, they act almost like cancer in humans. It is very hard to control the cold and get it to go away, especially for a senior rabbit (she was six). We tried week upon week of antibiotics, hot compresses on her swollen eye and many, many visits to the vet. Her fight ended sadly the day after Christmas as our options were to remove the eye or say goodbye. She lived a good life, full of fruits and veggies, carpet, electrical wires, cats, and car rides. She will be missed.
Jim is getting ready for the Nationwide Tour in 2k10. He had a wonderful off season and is eager to get out and play this year. Golf had a major change for professionals this year. If you've been watching the PGA Tour events then you may have heard about the groove changes for professionals. Basically it meant that all his equipment needed minor changes to meet regulations. No problem, especially since he decided to go with a different club manufacturer. Jim is now a Callaway man. He seems to love his new sticks and can't wait to put them to good use. The Nationwide Tour will kick off its season on January 28th in New Zealand. Jim is not going down under this year, but will begin his season in February in Panama.
Things have been going really well with our little one. Abigail is a wonderful sleeper, she usually sleeps around 9 hours a night.
Jim and I feel blessed to have some sanity and refreshed feelings each morning.
She is a great eater and probably growing a bunch each day. At her two month check up she weighed 9lbs. 14 oz. She does great in the car, she sleeps most of the time. We did some improving of her room here in Florida. Jim and I had painted our whole house last year, before I got pregnant. It just so happens that her room got painted blue - not so appropriate for a little girl. We re-painted the room a beautiful creamy color and purchased nursery furniture. Her room is coming along nicely! She is soooooo excited to try on her new bathing suit and jump in the pool (just kidding, she hates the water!).
After a long search she now has baby sunglasses.
They are just too cute! She and I will be taking our first golfing trip at the end of March and are looking forward to it!
That's all for now...more to come very soon!

When did Abigail start sleeping through the night? Mackenzie does about 5 hours now. But, I'm curious when that will get longer!
